Beverley Walks Beverley is a beautiful market town steeped in history.Its origins date back over a thousand years when Saint John of Beverley founded a monastry and its importance as an ecclesiastical centre is represented by the beautiful minster and Saint Mary's church. It contains a wealth of architecture ranging from Medieval through the Georgian upto the present day.
Paul Schofield Born in Hull in 1961 Paul Schofield is a fully qualified, freelance English Heritage Accredited guide.After recieving a degree from Warwick Univerity he returned to Hull in 1982.He completed a guiding course at Hull University, and has been conducting tours of Hull and Beverley since 1988 .He has established strong links with the City Council who have awarded him the inaugral Tourism Enterprise Award and the "extra mile " certificate. He regularly works on behalf of Visit Hull and East Yorkhire, and was delighted to win the RYTA Ambassador Award, 2010. Paul also gives numerous illustrated talks on topics of local history, and recently co-authored a book on Hull Kingston Rovers (the Robins) the world's greatest rugby league team.
